Free 8-Session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery
NAMI Family-to-Family
Free 8-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of people living with mental illness. NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussion, and interactive exercises.
NAMI Homefront
Free, six-session class for family, friends and significant others of Military Service Members/Veterans with mental health conditions. Topics covered include mental health, communication, handling crises, treatment and recovery.
NAMI Children's Challenging Behaviors
FREE class for parents who have children and youth with mental health needs. Identify behaviors, learn when and how to seek help, gain resources and support and more - taught by parents who have been on similar journeys.

Online Support Groups & Socials
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had to get creative and digital! We are now offering our Connections Recovery Support group online, including one for individuals under 30 facilitated by individuals under 30 every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group
Free, safe, confidential peer-led support group for adults living with mental illness. You will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by NAMI-trained facilitators who've been there.
NAMI Family Support Group
peer-led support group for family members, caregivers, and loved ones of individuals living with mental illness. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar circumstances.
Presentations/Other
NAMI In Our Own Voice
People with mental health conditions share their powerful personal stories in this 90-minute presentation, changing attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes by describing the reality of living with mental illness.
NAMI Ending the Silence
Free 50 minute presentation & discussion which educates students about mental health conditions, including personal testimony from and conversation with a youth or young adult with lived experience. The presentation's message of empathy and hope encourages students to actively care for themselves and their friends.
NAMI Say it Out Loud
Say it Out Loud includes a short film featuring three teens' experience with mental illness, a discussion guide, and a narrated presentation. This interactive experience gets teens talking about their mental health and helps to reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.
Youth MOVE Virginia
Youth MOVE (Motivating Others through Voices of Experience) is a platform for young people to share their story and inspire others. YMV is Virginia’s Statewide Youth Network and voice for young people
